Dr. Anthony George is running the Los Angeles marathon on March 21, 2010.  He is running to benefit Friends of Animals (a non profit, 501c(3) no kill animal rescue and shelter in Los Angeles.

Friends of Animals is a volunteer organization that depends on private donations for its support. Their goal is to assist as many homeless pets as possible, providing whatever care necessary to keep the animals in their care healthy and happy.
